Imbirowy Sad restaurant is worth checking out as it pays special attention to the taste of the local seasonal food. One day the host Monica had a life-changing idea and wished to return to her roots, and the rural atmosphere which she recalled from her childhood. She wanted to return to the time when she drank coffee under the apple tree, lay in a hammock, enjoyed the peace and drew inspiration from nature- one of the cleverest of teachers. You stop for a while and see yourself through the looking glass. Isn’t it this what we look for more and more and at all times of the year? That is, what is offered by Moniówka and its local surroundings. It is a land perfect for connoiseurs of life and cuisine. The host invites interesting people such as: yogini Eli and culinary bloggers who appear when the house’s residents want to taste vegan and vegetarian dishes served with flair and passion. Guests can avail of cosy rooms and common space – a kitchen with an adjacent living room with a fireplace where laughs and endless discussion are heard. The philosophy of the place encourages you to join in common cooking. The atmosphere, smell and taste of dishes prepared by the guests themselves are usually very appealing. In winter you can avail of the sauna originally built in an old granary and then brought from Podhale, which has a wood-fired furnace. In such a place views over the hills of Warmia hills add extra magic. You will just want to stay there or come back another time.

In most castles, palaces and courts there is usually a secret and a story. Dawidy is no exception! It used to belong to an aristocratic German family from Prussia long ago, and also it attracted the present owner. The man in question was travelling through Africa looking for his place on Earth when he felt that going back to the land of his childhood would be the best choice. Then he discovered Dawidy court situated near Pasłęk on the edge of the picturesque Elbląg Uplands. The owner’s passion for local history motivated him to call rooms in Dawidy court after other historical places in Warmia and Masuria. Guests who stay in Dawidy court can stay for a night in Galiny Apartment, Sztynort or the Gładysze room. The price of the accommodation includes court breakfast served in a spacious dining room overlooking the park surrounding the court. The park has its history as well. There are several 300 year old trees on the doorstep and the nature reserve Lenki where you can go cross-country skiing on the bottom of the gorge in which a river flows in summer. This is a very convenient location, as it is very close to Frombork, Elbląg, Malbork, the world famous Elbląg Canal and the Vistula Spit. We highly recommend renting a motorboat that will take you from Frombork to Piaski across the Vistula Lagoon in 20 minutes. Piaski is a small seaside village not far from the bustling seaside resorts so you can have the best of both worlds if you wish, peace and play in one.
